1. Never paint when it is less than 10 degrees centigrade outside – otherwise the paint will not stick and you will find it peeling/falling off over the next few years requiring a repaint which is more time consuming and expensive.
2. BEFORE you commit to paint PLEASE obtain a sample colour and paint the inside of a shoebox. Look at the different angles at how colour changes as the light hits it. Look at it both day and night. If you are sure there are no surprises there, please then paint a sample on the target wall and any angles that will be painted – look at it in the day and night. You will be surprised how the light, surrounding colours and recesses or electrical lighting can totally transform a paint colour. Be sure of what you are getting BEFORE you commit to the full version.
3. Use the right paint for interior or exterior. Always use “email” for a bathroom or kitchen as these can be wiped clean.
